From a Promise in Rome to an Unforgettable Celebration
Some stories don’t begin on the wedding day.
They begin earlier, quietly, when two people choose to return to a place that already holds meaning. Hannah and Ken first came to Rome a year before their wedding. In the shadow of the Colosseum, Ken proposed: a moment inspired by music, history, and a shared sense of wonder. Rome was not just a backdrop; it became part of their story. Those images stayed with them, anchoring a memory that would later guide a much bigger choice.
When they decided to marry, they imagined something intimate and deeply personal: twelve people, the Eternal City once again, and a celebration built around presence rather than scale. For their venue, they chose the timeless elegance of Hotel Hassler Rome, a place where history meets the sky. They reached out to me not only as their photographer, but as someone who already knew their rhythm: quiet, genuine, unforced.
The day itself reflected who they are. A love shaped by years of friendship, curiosity, shared passions, and gentle humor. Ken, with his love for Roman history and timeless music. Hannah, with her eye for beauty, movement, and design. Together, a couple drawn to culture, learning, and the simple joy of being fully there for one another.
The wedding was thoughtfully planned and designed by Mary Tricarico, whose work focuses on creating atmospheres that feel intentional, refined, and emotionally true to the couple. Against the backdrop of the Hassler’s iconic views, every element was meant to support the experience, never to overpower it.
This gallery is a continuation of a journey that began with a promise in Rome and unfolded, naturally, into a wedding that felt less like an event and more like a moment held in time.
