Lavinia and Marco

Lavinia and Marco’s love story feels like something straight out of a movie: they kept narrowly missing each other, time and again, until they finally crossed paths in Barcelona at an EDM concert. From that moment, they’ve held on tightly to each other, even when their relationship was long-distance for a while.

Lavinia, with her optimistic and outgoing personality, brought lightness to Marco’s more serious and introspective nature. Together, they’ve become a perfect balance, supporting each other through life’s ups and downs.

Then, along came little Matilda, full of joy and energy, transforming their world in the way only a child can (and I speak from experience here). The initial euphoria gives way to moments of doubt about being ready for parenthood, but as time passes, you grow together, learning along the way. It’s not an easy journey, but it’s one that’s constantly evolving and filled with unique rewards.

It was only fitting that their story culminated in a wedding at the stunning San Giusto Abbey in Italy. This place, rich in history dating back to the 10th century when it was a Benedictine parish, provided the perfect setting for their special day. The monastery has been beautifully restored, with the entire space available for events like this one. Lavinia prepared herself in one of the grand rooms on the second floor, where the narrow windows, characteristic of the period’s architecture cast dramatic light and shadows that I made the most of in the photos. Marco, on the other hand, got ready in the tower of the abbey, where the climb up the narrow staircase led to bright, tastefully furnished rooms, each exuding a timeless charm. The ancient church hosted the civil ceremony, while the guests gathered in the inner courtyard for the reception.

The outdoor spaces added even more to the atmosphere of the day: the expansive lawn in front of the abbey was perfect for the aperitifs and desserts, and the panoramic terrace provided a picturesque backdrop for the cutting of the cake.

The entire event was simple yet refined, with an understated elegance that reflected Lavinia and Marco’s personalities. Above all, it was a deeply heartfelt celebration, with guests fully immersed in the joy of witnessing their union.
